The Artist Development Program
Our People

Our team at JSC is made entirely up of local artists and designers; part of our initiative to create more jobs for individuals in the arts. Many of those team members are also part of our Artist Development Program, which educates and develops local creators to enter college or the workforce. Participants in the development program must be from Philadelphia or the surrounding area and must be passionate about their talents. We teach the young creator ways to apply their creative talents to practical applications in expanding job markets like public relations, marketing, sales, event management, culinary arts and business management. Student artists gain work life experience and portfolio building assistance. A path of development is drafted for each artist individually based on his or her personal goal.

JS CONCEPTUAL [STUDIO]
Our Home

The creative hub we all work together in is referred to as the JS Conceptual [studio]. It is meant to be a place for collaboration, inspiration, education and development. We want it to be ever evolving, fresh and fun. Our current space is located in the heart of Northern Liberties, Philadelphia. This [studio] is branded as 929, a mixed purpose business that serves as a cafe serving hot tea and bakeries in the early morning and office for our PR + marketing firm, in the early afternoon it serves as an art gallery for local artists and event venue with personal chef in the evening. We hope to open a few more of these locations around town. All will be projects that hire and highlight the talents of local artists and designers. In addition we teach our youth valuable skills to make the most of their talents and apply them to practical applications.
